Fourth Mainland Bridge construction to begin in April – Gov Sanwo Olu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday announced that the construction of the long-awaited Fourth Mainland Bridge will begin in the first quarter of this year, probably by the end of March or April.
This was announced while delivering the opening remarks at the Lagos West Senatorial District Town Hall meeting held at the Sheraton Balmoral Convention Centre, Ikeja.
The Governor said the bridge is an important project in Lagos and will be constructed in phases.
It has been confirmed that the owners and tenants of buildings destroyed during construction will receive the necessary support.
“We’ve done extensive work on the bridge. But we are at the crossroads of where to get the real financing for that kind of project. We’ll need to be very creative,” – Gov. Sanwo-Olu.
He confirmed that the government promised to start construction in the first quarter of 2024.
