Accident in Lagos-Ibadan highway leaves two dead

A singular fatal accident happened along Lagos-Ibadan expressway within Ogere, close to Verony, resulting in the loss of two lives.

The aforementioned collision took place at precisely 10:30am in the forenoon and involved a Toyota Camry bearing the registration number BDG526JC.

As per the statement provided by Mrs. Florence Okpe, the Public Relation Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) at the Ogun State command, a total of seven individuals were involved in the aforementioned crash.

This group comprised of four adult females, one adult male, one male child, and one female child.

Mrs. Okpe expounded that among the individuals involved, five sustained injuries, while regrettably, two individuals succumbed to their injuries as a result of the accident.

She attributed the root cause of this solitary collision to excessive speed, which precipitated a loss of control, ultimately leading to the vehicle overturning.

The injured parties were expeditiously transported to a private medical facility in Sagamu for requisite medical care, whereas the deceased individuals were respectfully placed in the care of the same medical institution.
