NNPC debunk rumor of petrol price increase

The NNPC, wishes to inform the public that, at present, there are no immediate plans to increase the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
This statement was issued by the esteemed Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Olufemi O. Soneye, on Thursday, February 8.
In light of recent speculations circulating among the public, the NNPC would like to dismiss these unfounded claims regarding a potential upward revision of petrol prices.
It is important for the public to be aware that no such measures are currently being considered by the company.
Furthermore, the NNPC would like to reassure all Nigerians that there is an ample supply of PMS available throughout the nation.
Motorists are strongly advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is no need for such actions.
The NNPC is committed to ensuring a stable fuel market, and citizens can rest assured that fuel prices will remain steady in the foreseeable future.
