Addressing residents shortly after the inspection in Aba, Otti encouraged them to collaborate with the contractors, emphasizing the importance of developing a positive working relationship.

Otti revealed that Ndoki Road, along with numerous other roads in Aba, is being managed through direct labor by the Abia State Ministry of Works.

“The contractor has also told me that you people have been very kind to them, giving them water, giving them drinks and some of you are cooking and bringing to them.

“This is the way it should be. If you cooperate with the government, the government will cooperate with you,” he added.

The governor also encouraged the residents to adopt good sanitary habits and avoid engaging in the careless disposal of waste. He urged the residents to refrain from any behavior that could undermine the government’s work to reconstruct Abia.

So, one more thing I would like to plead with our people because this road has been in disuse for a long time and people have been used to littering everywhere.

“So I want to appeal to you in advance because as we complete these roads, we are not going to tolerate litter.

“So we are providing bins for households so you will have somewhere to drop your litter and then we will come twice in a day to cart them away,”

Otti made a promise that the Ndoki Road would be finished before the year ends.

He also mentioned that there would be noticeable improvements on the road before the rainy season begins.

Additionally, he stated that the Ndoki Road would be connected to Good Morning Market, the Old Court, and other nearby streets.

Furthermore, Otti revealed that the Abia State Ministry of Works is directly managing the construction of the Ndoki Road, along with several other roads in Aba.

He urged potential investors to think about investing in the area.
