Police officer filmed requesting bribe from Driver.

Another Nigerian police officer was filmed while asking a driver for money.

The police officer in the video footage says he won’t leave unless the driver pays his bribe.

In the video, the erring officer can be heard saying,

“Do sharp sharp and go now, if not, I will do my job.”

The officer then read out his bank credentials to the driver for him to credit his account before he would let him leave the scene.

In response, the Nigerian Police Force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the incident in the video was shameful and against professional ethics.

“This is not allowed, so shameful. It’s condemned. We need more info about this. We will fish him out,” – Muyiwa Adejobi

The defendant was removed from the scene without any complaint being filed against him and no police asked him to write a statement.

“We have taken over this case at the FHQ. The victims and Harrison came to my office on Friday, and we have commenced the investigation into the case. Justice must be served,” Adejobi wrote on his X (Twitter) account.
