Ogun bridge blocked due to multiple crash

An unfortunate incident just occurred today Saturday, resulting in a complete blockage of the Ota-Idiroko Road in Ogun State.

The incident, which took place on the Iju River Bridge, involved a truck, two tricycles, and a car.

As a consequence of this unfortunate chain of events, the road has become completely impassable, causing significant inconvenience to motorists and commuters alike.

The car involved in the accident tragically plunged into the river. The safety and well-being of its occupants remain unknown at this time, adding to the gravity of the situation.

In response to this distressing occurrence, the Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has promptly issued a statement to inform the public of the incident.

Furthermore, FRSC officials, in collaboration with other security agencies, have swiftly mobilized to the scene of the accident.

Their primary objective is to effectively manage the situation and ensure the safety and security of all individuals involved.

The spokesperson for the Ogun FRSC Sector Command, Florence Okpe, said;

“Crash had occurred at Iju Bridge along Otta /Idiroko Road. It involves a truck, two tricycles and a Camry car.

“A crane is already mobilised to the scene while effort is also on to remove the car from the river.

“Otta – Idiroko route is completely blocked, operatives are on the ground managing the situation.”
