The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of four women following a fatal multi-vehicle crash along the Nanka–Agulu Road in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to FRSC officials, the accident involved:
- A Toyota Hiace commercial bus
- A shuttle bus
- A trailer
- A Toyota Hilux vehicle
Rescue investigations revealed that the commercial bus was descending a hill at high speed before the driver lost control and rammed into three other vehicles.
A total of 19 persons were involved in the crash, with five others sustaining varying degrees of injury.
Emergency teams evacuated injured victims to St. Joseph Hospital, Adazi, while traffic diversion measures were introduced to prevent secondary crashes.
Road safety authorities again warned motorists against speeding, particularly on downhill sections and curved highways.
